A New Mother's Housekeeping

Some common advice I have received from friends who are mothers is to "let the housekeeping go" while I learn to manage life with a newborn.  The laundry, as they say, can wait.  Alaka'i can't.  Do you think perhaps I have taken a bit too much liberty with such counsel?

OK, truthfully, we got a new roof, and with the new roof came rocks, pebbles and tar patches.
But most importantly, we have insulation now and hopefully no more leaks!
