11 Days in the Life of a Baby in Mammoth

We just got back from 11 wonderful days spent in Mammoth, in the Eastern Sierras.  We stayed in a family friend's cabin and enjoyed much fresh air, mornings huddled around the fireplace, gorgeous hikes and memory-making with Jacob's family.  His mom, dad, sister Rebekah and youngest brother Lucas were there.  They were very patient with Alaka'i's sleeping and feeding schedule, and were very entertaining cabin-mates.  Especially Lucas!  We love you guys.  Hopefully next year, we can continue the tradition with Dan, Aimee and the kiddos!

Alaka'i wanted to show you all some pointers on how to enjoy life at 9,000 feet above sea level:

You start by staying in a wonderful location.

Next, make sure to keep the head warm!

Take lots of hikes to beautiful locations.

Be one with nature.

Travel lightly.

Cuddle with your auntie.

Keep warm in front of the fire.

Fill up on Grandpa's fried cooking (indirectly in baby's case).

Nappies with Grandma.

Smile often.  This life is a gift from God!

I cannot believe how big Alaka'i is getting and he just keeps getting cuter and cuter! So glad your getaway was so much fun - what a blessing!
