Our systems recovered from the nasty bug just in time to board a plane to visit Jacob's family on Kauai! Here are a few lovely beach shots of our water baby:

"Boppa" (Jacob's dad) took Alaka'i out to get used to the water. He loved it!
He's definitely not afraid of the ocean!

On this trip, his favorite things to do at the beach were:
eat sand, throw rocks, throw sand, kick his legs and splash.
Here is the path that leads to the beach.
Kalihiwai Beach. It's so cool....the Kalihiwai river meets the ocean here, so you can swim in fresh or salty water. Here is the driftwood on the river side. This day was a BIG surf day!
Here's a shot of the surf. We didn't swim here.
But Alaka'i did swim in the river!
This was my favorite day at the beach, since it was so sunny and I got to collect a lot of shells!
Still big surf. We couldn't swim here either.

how cute is he! Love the pics, guess he needs a little more roughage in his diet.....thus the eating sand thing! Fat legs and baby belly.love it.
