Our Little Cubbie

Alaka'i has been really enjoying AWANA (derived from the first letters of "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15) at church on Wednesdays (a program intended to help children hide God's word in their heart,  through scripture memorization).

This past week, they had "drive-in night".  A few friends and I got together to make our kids' "cars" for the drive-in movie, which were actually trains, per their request.

That's his buddy in the BIG engine.  They both wanted to drive an engine, so we made 2 circus trains.

The best part of his train was the steering wheel.  Daddy took care of that!

They all got popcorn and sodas for the movie.  You can see his straw in the smokestack.

Each engine was pulling a circus car.  Alaka'i is with another friend, who coincidently was born only a week after him.  Her mom and I always thought they looked like brother and sister when they were babies : )

They are mesmerized by the movie.  But he can't remember what it was about!
