Beyond Baby

Lest you think all we do is goo-goo and ga-ga over our little turtle, here are a few snaps of other goings-on at the house.

This is the vegetable planter Jacob built, in an effort to live off the land a bit.  Contained within are strawberries, a few lettuce varieties, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and basil.  And sometimes there are caterpillars.  We flick those and squash them.  Bad caterpillars.

Do you see our luscious berry?

Cucumber!  We ate our first one last night.

Front yard orchard.  Two citrus varieties and an almond tree.  Guess how many times we have to go out there to water the trees?  Never.  Jacob built a grey water system and the bath water takes care of these gems.
