We got up early this morning, were out the door before 6 am, and beat the heat! Miss Mary (Grace) came with us and we had a great time hiking out to Switzer Falls!
He enjoyed the pack, especially on the way back, when he chilled out and sucked his fingers.

He hiked plenty on foot - we've gotta train him young to make Mammoth next year!
Destination: Switzer Falls.
The water was cold and refreshing.
In the past, the water has been much deeper, and we were able to swim. But not this year. That's okay, it was still a lot of fun, and since we got up so early, no one else was there yet.
Here we are standing at the falls above, looking down below.
It was some tricky terrain getting up the the upper falls, but so worth it!
We hiked up the the second level. Not too bad for August in Southern California!!
